I was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1970 and grew up in the Latrobe Valley with my mother, father and my younger sister. I have always enjoyed reading, in fact the first series of books I can remember reading as a child was The Three Investigators Series.

Me

My introduction to fantasy fiction didn't come until high school when a friend of mine first suggested I read The Hobbit (clichéd I know) and from there came the Lord of The Rings, The Belgariad, The Shannara Books, everything by David Gemmell and so on.

I was hooked.

I have spent countless hours since then reading a vast collection of novels in a range of subjects but I always find that I enjoy the escapism offered by fantasy - especially epic fantasy - or science fiction.

Most recently the work of Joe Abercrombie, Scott Lynch, Peter V Brett, Brent Weeks and Patrick Rothfus have captured my attention and fuelled my passion.

Extinction Dawn

Recently I published a short story on the Amazon Kindle store. This story Extinction Dawn started life as the first chapter of an epic creative writing piece that I started back in high school. I recently dug up the original typed notes (I had no soft copy) and retyped it then spent a long while correcting reworking and cleaning it up until it was ready.

Forged In Blood

A second short story set in the world of the assassins is also available on the Amazon Kindle store. Forged In Blood is set about a decade before the events in the upcoming novel and gives some insight into the origins of the Family and the war ahead.

I am currently working on my first full length novel. The inspiration for which was taken from the events of a long running table top RPG game I played in the early 1990s. The Assassins has been seen online before in the form of a series of web episodes published between 1996 and 2008 some of which have been distilled into this book.

If you are interested in seeing what the first of those web episodes looked like then just click here and be transported back to the online world of 1996.
