Non-Player Characters
This page provides some details on the non player characters that have appeared in the published episodes. The information is not complete with stats, equipment or motivations because the players in the campaign also have 'net access. If you are really keen to find out a particular NPC's agenda then feel free to post your question on the relevant discussion forum.
| Blademaster Jean Anoir | This man lives in an estate some three miles outside of Del Mord with his daughter Celeste. He is human, in his late forties, and is an experienced swordsman. He provides one-on-one training in swordsmanship and as such has been hired by The Family to be Craven's tutor. |
| Kaak'erek Arglowan | Acolyte of Incabulos. A female hobgoblin who serves under Agarat. She has many humanoid contacts in the Pomarj and even a few in the forests surrounding Del Mord. |
| Argos |
Argos was an assassin who graduated alongside Craven. He was specialised in the
heavy crossbow (which does d12 damage in this campaign :-)). He and Craven
became close friends after Argos saved Craven's life when their class was attacked
by raiders on Kalmaird Beach several years before they graduated.
What happened that day was: as the class were practising their tumbling in the soft sands, they were attacked by a large raiding party. Craven was knocked unconscious, the last thing he saw was Argos standing astride his body fending off a man wielding a spear. Argos was actually killed by a pirate who had contracted a debilitating skin disease. The pirate was host to a Trill, which left the pirate's body and infested Argos restoring him to full health. (for details on the the Trill see Episode 22) His history was clouded and he always refused to talk about his life prior to the attack on the beach. |
| Babyface | He is the leader of a group who call themselves "The Dukes Men." They are a gang of thugs who extort money throughout the Foreign Quarter on behalf of "The Duke" the owner of the Blue Dragon tavern next to the Silver Gauntlet. Just who the Duke is is unclear but Babyface is given a wide berth by most people. |
| Wilma Butterrose | A society lady of Del Mord's High Quarter. She is the publisher of "The Del Mord Social Gazette" a monthly document dealing with the events and gossip of high society. |
| Benhi the Leech | The investigator for Del Mord and the northern province of Almor. He is given authority by the courts of Del Mord to investigate and bring to justice criminals of the Prelacy. His methods are somewhat questionable but his results speak for themselves. He is a gnome and has a human lieutenant named Delva. |
| Blade | Agarat's bodyguard and partner in crime. He is a cocky swordsman with specialisation in the rapier. |
| Carabin | The man responsible for the capture of Tallow, very little is known about him and his motives for doing so. |
| Caruthers |

He was killed by Keldirk (in Ep. 68) under orders from the new Vesper Shaka Kuss. |
| Sergeant Coleman | The sergeant of the Foreign Quarter Militia. He investigated the mysterious death of Argos. Once the body of Argos was stolen he re-opened the investigation but has thus far failed to make much headway. He is an honest, hard working member of the city's militia and although he has not had the amazing success of some of his peers he is well liked by the community. |
| Montelbahn Criss | The Chamberlain to the Marque de'Ahb (q.v). He is extremely officious, probably Lawful Lawful Neutral, and his entire being revolves around serving his master. Many of the day-to-day affairs of The Family are handled by Montelbahn making him one of the most powerful men on Oerth (even though he is only zero level). |
| Darvon the Flame | A mysterious spellcaster from the Del Mord area who claims to be the true owner of the magical orb which Azareth used to summon the imp. |
| Sergeant Dunne | A sergeant of the River Quarter Militia. His success led the thieves guilds of Del Mord to arrange for him to be killed. His father-in-law, Lord Shemmonbyrne, is a wealthy land owner and has furnished his son-in-law with the best armour and weapons. Dunne enforces the law with a brutal efficiency that often leads to violence - but since his actions are aimed exclusively against law breakers and vagrants the common folk respect and admire him. |
| Agarat Esiassen | Priest of Incabulos. He is involved in the manufacture and sale of Zombies. He also ships weaponry from various suppliers to foreign lands - such as the Great Kingdom and even the Pomarj. Agarat steals bodies from the various graveyards in and around Del Mord ... one of the bodies he stole was none other than Argos. |
| Madame Fifi | Fifi is a stunning female who runs a brothel called The Angel's Junction in the River Quarter. She is quite large (being quarter-ogre) but is nothing short of dazzling. | Simpkin Furzear | This halfling is also called the Weasel. He is the Master Thief of Del Mord's Foreign Quarter thieves guild. Simpkin works in The Pit where he manages the gambling area, his office is up a set of stairs and overlooks the entire games room. He is rarely without a cigar and is prone to bully those around him - especially those taller than he (almost everyone). He is a very powerful and dangerous man, who runs the guild efficiently and with an iron fist. |

| Kincaide | This man is one of the Pirate Kings who terrorise the Azure Sea. His boat - The Ghost Rider - is rumoured to be the fastest vessel on the high seas despite its size. Kincaide's "fleet" have no permanent base making reprisals difficult at best as they have the entire world's oceans in which to hide. |

Saradock is a Vesper. He is the contact between The Family and the assassins out
in the field. His other duties include organising "contracts", gathering payment
and essentially keeping the assassins out of the public eye.
He teaches in trade economics at the Del Mord University and is himself a spice trader. He lives in the Artisans Quarter in a well appointed house with his manservant Caruthers. To ensure that his role in The Family remains a secret, he does not permit any assassin to come to his house bearing arms and/or wearing armour. | Slick | Picture the most revolting, slimy, cheap, badly dressed, ill-mannered, untrustworthy weasel that money can buy and you would come fairly close to Slick. He trades in information and would sell his own mother for a copper if he hadn't already done so. Slick operates in and around the Foreign Quarter and has many contacts in this region.
